TERMS AND DEFINITIONS

CIDE - is an abbreviation for Classic IDE

File Manager - The File Manager allows the users access files in their user local directories. More information about the File Manager can be found in the  documentation ».

GIDE - is an abbreviation for Graphical IDE

Graphical IDE - The Graphical IDE is in fact a front-end interface to the famous Processor Expert™ tool. It uses components - for their similarity with Java Beans called Embedded Beans™ - as building blocks for the user applications. Embedded Beans are characterized by set of properties, methods, and events. They can be perceived as "black boxes" encapsulating the functionality of basic elements of embedded systems like CPU core, CPU on-chip peripherals, standalone peripherals, virtual devices, programmable arrays and pure software algorithms (see also Graphical IDE documentation »).

Popup menu - this menu is displayed when right mouse button click is pressed on some graphical object.

Reference project - it is a project opened from the library. The user can view all the project files, but these files cannot be modified unless the project is saved (copied) to the user local subdirectory.

User local directory - area on the remote system accessible only by the user, which contains all user projects, sources and configuration files. The user can manage the files and directories using the File manager.
